Application Guide

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Preparation is crucial to the success of your project. To apply to new wood:

1. Remove all hardware or cover any hardware that cannot be removed.

2. The surface must be dry and free of contaminants such as waxes, silicones, adhesives and dirt.

3. Avoid using steel wool which could leave iron particles on the wood surface.

4. Repair surface defects such as holes and cracks using a quality acrylic-based filler tinted to match the project color. The filler must be completely dry before sanding.

5. Extra effort in sanding will improve the aesthetics of your project. Use 120-150 grit sandpaper, sanding in the direction of the grain for best results.

6. Remove all dust particles using a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth.

7. Test product on a small area to ensure proper penetration and color match.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

To apply by brush, add up to 5% water to Glacier product. Do not add water if applying by spray.

• To apply by spray, use a conventional air-assisted or airless sprayer, avoiding pumps that create hollows in the wood or other surface problems. All equipment should be qualified for the application of this product.

DO NOT SHAKE. Mix well before and during application.

• Apply a first coat of Purity Interior Glacier by spraying or using a nylon-polyester brush or applicator pad. Spread the top coat evenly. Purity Glacier has very good leveling power; be careful not to overwork the product.

Directions:

• Test the product on a small area to ensure adequate penetration and color.

Leave to dry for 1 hourunder ideal temperature and humidity conditions: between 15-20°C (60-70°F) and less than 70% relative humidity.

• If necessary, once the surface is completely dry, lightly sand using 220-320 grit sandpaper or a fine synthetic sanding block. Always sand in the direction of the grain.

• Remove any dust particles using a vacuum cleaner or damp cloth.

• Apply a second coat of Sansin Purity Interior Glacier.

• For additional protection or a glossier finish, apply a third coat after 24 hours.

DRYING

Allow to dry for 1 hour in ideal temperature and humidity conditions, which are between 15 and 20°C (60-70°F) and a relative humidity of less than 70%.
